This Friday students are invited to come to school in out-of-uniform clothes with a gold coin donation. Cupcakes will be on sale at recess and lunch for $1 each. Thank you to all students, staff and parents/carers for what has been an overwhelming response for this initiative.
The response have been so positive that we are concerned we may actually have too many cupcakes! Excess cupcakes will be sold at the Infants Assembly on Friday afternoon for $5 a plate of six. Due to this potential over supply, parents/carers now also have the option to donate non perishable items instead of cupcakes. Non-perishables could include canned foods, bottled water, dog food, long life milk, etc. These items can be dropped at the school office or taken into class teachers.
Primary students will be making and decorating cupcakes throughout the week. If you do choose to donate cupcakes, simply send them in on Thursday or Friday, in a sealed container with the ingredients list stuck to the top. Please remember to clearly label your container so we can clean and return it to you on Friday afternoon. Free cupcake mixes (including Gluten free) are available from school – just send a note in with your child if you would like them to bring a packet home.
We are also seeking volunteers to come in to school on Friday morning (9 – 11am) to decorate any remaining undecorated cupcakes as well as those already made by the students throughout the week. Please contact the school office on 6362 7464 if you are available to assist.
All funds raised will be donated to Rural Aid—Buy a Bail Campaign, specifically for the purchase of feed, diesel, water and hampers. We have also contacted the office of Mr Phil Donato MP to discuss options for non-perishable items to be delivered to farmers in need.
