Transition to school program
Transition is an important part of preparing children and their family for school. Children and parents/carers that have been involved in a transition program settle into school much more readily.
Transition to school helps you and your child to become familiar with the school and for the school to become familiar with your child.
Each transition session will provide opportunities for next year’s Kindergarten students to meet new friends, interact with teachers and participate in developmental activities.
These sessions will provide you with the opportunity to meet other parents, meet school staff and spend time with your child playing in a school environment.
Who is transition for?
Transition is for children who will be starting at Orange East Public School in 2024.
Children are eligible to start school if they turn 5 before 31st July 2024. Children do not necessarily have to start school if they are in this age group and school readiness is something we will discuss during these transition sessions.
