8.40am arrival time, students remain on the verandah at the office until the morning bell.
9.10am - 11.10am morning learning session (Crunch and Sip included within session)
11.10am -11.40am recess / playtime
11.40am - 1.10pm middle learning session
1:10pm -1.50pm lunch / playtime
1.50pm - 3.10pm afternoon learning session
School term dates 2024
Kindergarten students will have a Best Start testing appointment Dates TBA (appontments will be made online using the website School Interviews) and will commence school on Monday, 5th February, 2024.
Term 1 Thursday 1 February to Friday 12 April
Term 2 Tuesday 30 April to Friday 5 July
Term 3 Tuesday 23 July to Friday 27 September
Term 4 Monday 14 October to Thursday 19 December
There are two pupil free staff development days at the beginning of Term 1 and a pupil free staff development day at the beginning of Term 2 and Term 3. There is one pupil free day at the end of Term 4.
The dates above do not include these pupil free days.
Late arrivals and early leavers
Children who arrive late to school must be accompanied by an adult to the office and signed in. They will be presented with a Late Arrival Pass which must be presented to the class teacher.
Parents wishing their children to leave early must sign them out through the office and receive an Early Leave Pass. This pass is presented to the class teacher by the accompanying adult as the child is collected.
Daily routine
- Students should not arrive before 8.40am as there is limited supervision. Children will remain on the verandah at the Spring Street office until the morning bell.
- A bell sounds at 8.40am and the children can enter the playground on this bell.
- The morning bell sounds at 9.05am and children assemble in the COLA area.
- Children are collected at 3.10pm: Infants outside the March St building, Stage 2 at the March St large gate and Stage 3 at the Nile St gate. Kindergarten can be collected between 2.30pm and 3.10pm from their classroom for the first 2 weeks.
- Bus children assemble outside the Spring St office.
- Our sports day is Wednesday each week. On this day children come to school in their sports uniform.
Canteen
Our school operates a canteen on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Children are able to order recess and lunch on these days. Our canteen ordering is done online. Please follow this link to sign up to QuickCliq.
